Bay Mechanical and Marine is a full-service diesel, automotive, and marine repair shop based in Sorrento, British Columbia, on the shores of the Shuswap. We look after the machines that move the people of this valley: the diesel trucks that tow and work for a living, the daily drivers that get families to work and school, and the boats that carry Shuswap summers — wakeboard boats, pontoons, and personal watercraft.

This site is for our neighbours — boat owners getting ready for lake season, truck owners who need real diesel expertise, and anyone tired of shops that talk down to them, pad the bill, or treat their rig as just another ticket number. From engine work, drivetrain, and electrical to maintenance, winterization, storage, and detailing, we handle it in-house at our Balmoral Road shop.

The shop is built and run by a small local crew: Hyatt, the young blood — sharp, hungry, and genuinely fired up about diesel work — and Jeff, who brings 36+ years of diesel experience, most of it at a Ford dealership before going out on his own. Not much rolls through the door that he hasn't already figured out. Behind the bay doors you'll also find the crew's four-legged foreman, Toby.
